Lasers

The "Lasers" group is composed of about fifteen scientists working on the physics of lasers and their applications.

The research activities of the LCF Lasers team focus primarily on the development of diode-pumped solid-state lasers, in particular high-power femtosecond pulse lasers, but also on the development of original source architectures based on semiconductor lasers.

Our work is carried out in collaboration with numerous laboratories and companies, both in the field of laser materials (semiconductors, crystals, fibers), laser applications (eye surgery, prostate cancer, high intensity physics, precision machining), and in biophotonics.

Partner of the Apollon 10 PW project, we developed the front-end of this installation managed by the LULI of the Ecole Polytechnique and which is now installed at the Orme des Merisiers at CEA Saclay.

The Lasers Group works closely with Amplitudes Systèmes, Fibercryst, Thales, Effilux, Fastlite, Cristal Laser....
